Located at NYC's Grand Central Station, thousands of Jewish people and allies participated in an emergency sit-in, demanding a ceasefire in Gaza. They wore black shirts that said "ceasefire now, Jews say ceasefire."
According to the JVP website, the organization has been demanding a ceasefire and calling on U.S. President Joe Biden to:

1. Demand an immediate halt to the Israeli government's bombing of Gaza.
2. Allow all life-saving humanitarian needs to enter Gaza, including water, fuel, food, and medicine.
3. Initiate direct negotiations for Israeli hostages.

Meanwhile, they added, "Israeli bombardment and the siege of Gaza have wiped out entire families, leaving only one or two survivors to carry the memory of generations." They emphasized, "There is no military solution. We demand no more grieving families and an immediate ceasefire to save lives."
The demonstration comes as tensions escalate, with Gaza experiencing a complete blackout and Israeli bombardment continuing into Saturday.
