Jordan's national taekwondo team ended its participation in the "6-Star" Grand Prix, which concluded yesterday in South Korea, without securing any results, as its male and female athletes were eliminated at various stages of the tournament, which featured an elite lineup of the world's top players.اضافة اعلان

Olympic athlete Zaid Mustafa bowed out of the under-68kg category yesterday in the first round, losing 0-2 to Greek player Panagopoulos.

In the same weight category, Zaid Al-Halwani began his campaign with a 2-0 win over Britain's Matthew Howell, before being eliminated in the round of 16 following a 0-2 loss to Brazil's Ivyedal Pontes.

Rama Abu Al-Rub won her first match 2-1 against China's Zeqi Zhou, before exiting in the round of 16 after a 0-2 loss to Belgium's Sara Cardi.

Fadia Kharfan had earlier been eliminated from the under-57kg category in the quarterfinals, after a run that included wins over Russia's Xenia Zdor and Hungary's Batakvalfi Luka, both by 2-0, before falling to Brazil's Maria Clara 1-2.

Razan Al-Rawashdeh also exited the under-67kg category in the quarterfinals, having beaten Greece's Marentaki Steliani and Hungary's Marton Viviana 2-1, before losing to Croatia's Dora Jestrovic 1-2.

Olympic athlete Saleh Al-Sharbati was eliminated from the under-80kg category in the round of 16, after beating Iceland's Sigurjonsson G. 2-0, then losing to Iran's Mehran Barkhordari 1-2.

Jaafar Al-Dawoud had exited the under-58kg category in the quarterfinals, after winning his previous two rounds against Brazil's Geylliard Gonçalves and Azerbaijan's Magomedov Gashimo, before losing to South Korea's Bae Jun-seo.

With that, Jordan's national team concludes its participation in the Grand Prix without reaching the podium, despite Kharfan, Al-Rawashdeh, and Al-Dawoud all advancing to the quarterfinals.
