JERASH — Zaid Balqez, CEO of Jordan Motorsport, crowned the winners of the Second Al-Hussein Rumman Hill Climb (the third and final round of the Jordan Hill Climb Championship), which took place the day before yesterday in the Rumman area of Jerash Governorate.

Contestant Amir Hisham Al-Najjar claimed the title behind the wheel of a Mitsubishi Evo Prototype, registering his best time in the third heat at 1:46.521 minutes. He came remarkably close to breaking the course record held by Lebanese driver Roger Feghali, which was set during the First Al-Hussein Rumman Hill Climb earlier this year at 1:46.264 minutes.
The gap between Al-Najjar and Feghali was a mere 0.257 seconds. Al-Najjar was also the youngest fastest competitor in the event, clinching the 4WD Group title and the Junior Category Cup.
Contestant Saif Mansour took the Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) Group title, while Yazan Jumaa was crowned champion of the Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) Group.
The race was organized by Jordan Motorsport and sponsored by Zain Jordan, Central Trade & Auto Company (Toyota Gazoo Racing Jordan), Hala Radio, and Bliss FM.
A total of 23 drivers from Jordan, Palestine, and Lebanon registered for the competition.
Across its three heats, the event witnessed fierce competition with Amir Hisham Al-Najjar maintaining the upper hand alongside intense rivalries featuring Hisham Amir Al-Najjar, Mohammad Ihab Al-Sharfa, Mustafa Atari, Ayman Al-Najjar, Ghaith Wreikat, Lebanon's Alex Feghali, Wael Mustafa, Palestine's Rami Jaber, Mohammad Shaheen, and Oday Al-Dawood.
The 4WD category saw a hard-fought battle between Amir Hisham Al-Najjar, Hisham Amir Al-Najjar, and Ihab Mohammad Al-Sharfa, while competition in the RWD category escalated between Saif Mansour, Ashraf Al-Bawab, and Fadi Shaheen. The FWD category featured intense competition among Yazan Jumaa, Raed Rasheed, and Mohammad Al-Azza.

2nd Place: Hisham Amir Al-Najjar (Mitsubishi Colt Prototype), clocking his best time in the second heat at 1:48.316 minutes.
3rd Place: Mohammad Ihab Al-Sharfa (Mitsubishi Evo 6), clocking his best time in the third heat at 1:49.388 minutes.
