Boxing team athlete Hudaifa Ashish qualified, on Tuesday, for the quarter-final round of boxing competitions at the Asian Games hosted by the Japanese city of Nagoya.

Ashish defeated Laos's Vanixay Vongthisouane in the round of 16, with the referee stopping the bout in the first round, in the under-55kg category, qualifying him to face Chinese Taipei's Peng Chia-Feng.
The boxing team's participation continues on Wednesday, with Hussein Ashish facing Kyrgyzstan's Umurbek Bekjigitov, in the under-80kg category, in the round of 16.
Mohammad Abu Jajah also faces Bhutan's Kinley, in the round of 16 for the under-60kg category.
Boxing at the Nagoya Asian Games features the participation of 33 countries, with competitions continuing until the 2nd of next month.
