Jordan’s national football team continues its technical and physical preparations ahead of a friendly match against Syria at 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, at King Abdullah II Stadium, as part of preparations for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup finals.
The national team held a training session on Thursday evening at the Al-Nashama Training Center under head coach Badou Zaki, with all players taking part.
The coaching staff called up Anas Al-Awdat, bringing the squad to 29 players: Yazid Abu Laila, Abdullah Al-Fakhouri, Alec Samir, Ahmad Juaidi, Yazan Al-Arab, Abdullah Naseeb, Mohammad Abu Al-Nadi, Saad Al-Rousan, Hadi Al-Hourani, Muhannad Abu Taha, Ehsan Haddad, Ahmad Assaf, Anas Badawi, Noor Al-Rawabdeh, Nizar Al-Rashdan, Ibrahim Saadeh, Yousef Qashah, Amer Jamous, Mahmoud Shawkat, Yousef Abu Jalboush, Musa Al-Taamari, Mahmoud Al-Mardi, Tamer Bani Odeh, Ahmad Ersan, Ali Al-Azayzeh, Odeh Al-Fakhouri, Mohammad Abu Zrayq, Ali Olwan and Al-Awdat.
The national team will also hold an open training session for media coverage and interviews at the Al-Nashama Training Center at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Media personnel wishing to attend are requested to be present at the center by that time.
As part of the team’s current training camp, Jordan will also face Venezuela at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, at King Abdullah II Stadium.
The draw for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup finals placed Jordan, the runners-up in the previous edition, in Group B alongside Uzbekistan, Bahrain and North Korea.
The 2027 AFC Asian Cup finals will be held in Saudi Arabia from January 7 to February 5.
Jordan will begin its campaign against Uzbekistan on Friday, January 8, at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah. The team will then face Bahrain on Wednesday, January 13, at the same stadium before concluding the group stage against North Korea on Sunday, January 17, at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud University Stadium in Riyadh.
