Women's Handball team loses to Iran in Asian Handball Championship

AMMAN – The women's national handball team suffered its first loss in the Asian Handball Championship against Iran (22-28), on Sunday at the Princess Sumaya Hall in Al-Hussein Youth City.اضافة اعلان

The national team achieved three consecutive wins over Palestine, Syria and Kuwait, while the Iranian team achieved its third victory in the tournament.  

Iran is one step away from qualifying for the World Championship, which is hosted by Spain at the end of this year. A win by Iran over Syria in the final round of the group stage will ensure the Iranians direct qualification to the World Championship.

Jordan’s task of directly qualifying for the World Championship has become complicated, as the team will have to beat Japan, the leader of the group, in the final round to qualify.
