The government settled accumulated debts amounting to 2 billion dinars during the first half of the current year.
According to data from the Ministry of Finance, the government borrowed a total of 3 billion dinars through the issuance of bonds and treasury bills during the same period. The interest accrued on these government debts from bonds and treasury bills amounted to 680 million dinars.

Furthermore, data from the Ministry of Finance showed a decrease in Jordan’s total public debt, reaching 46.012 billion dinars by the end of June, compared to 46.394 billion dinars at the end of May this year — a drop of 382 million dinars.
The data also indicated that the ratio of total public debt to GDP declined, reaching 118.3% by the end of June compared to the end of May.
