When asked whether bridging the differences between both sides would take a long time, the source replied, "We do not have much time," noting that both countries "continue to change their terms."
On Monday, Iran announced that it had responded to a new US proposal aimed at ending the war, stating that communication with the United States is ongoing despite Iranian media reports describing Washington's demands as excessive.
During a press conference, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said, "As we announced yesterday, our concerns have been conveyed to the American side."
He added that communication with Washington is "ongoing through the Pakistani mediator," without providing further details.
