Italy Intends to Send Defense Aid to Gulf Countries

Speaking via a radio broadcast, Meloni said: "Similar to Britain, France, and Germany, Italy intends to provide aid to Gulf countries, specifically in the field of defense, and particularly air defense."

She added, "It is not only because they are friendly nations, but because tens of thousands of Italians live in the region, and about 2,000 Italian soldiers are deployed there—people we want to protect, and indeed, we must protect."
