Youth constitutes 20% of the total population of Jordan

AMMAN – The Higher Population Council (HPC), has committed to improving the health of Jordans youth which now constitutes nearly 20% of the total population, according to Khaberni. اضافة اعلان

During the opening of a new health program in conjunction with Oxfam, Rania Al-Abadi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Higher Population Council, emphasized the importance of the project, which aligns with the council's objectives in promoting the health of youth, who represent one of the fundamental pillars of any society.

She mentioned that Jordan youth are the group most in need of health services and said providing a comprehensive package of such services to them is necessary to help them make informed decisions about their health.

The Director of the "Our Path" Gender Equality Project, a regional health program run by Oxfam, Mais Al-Saadi, stressed the importance of raising awareness among young people about reproductive health issues, especially as they are the builders of the future.
