AMMAN — Tourist activity has surged in Al-Shifa areas in Ajloun, with local and foreign visitors enjoying the warm weather by lounging along the roads in Wadi Kufranjah, Rajab, and Kufranja Dam, Khaberni reported. اضافة اعلان

Additionally, hundreds of tourists rode Ajloun's cable car and visited the castle, with five buses departing from the Visitors Center for overnight trips as part of the 'Urdun Jannah' program.

Several tourism and environmental enthusiasts highlighted the importance of maintaining cleanliness at recreational sites in the governorate, adding that due to its natural, touristic, and environmental features, the area has become an attraction for those seeking relaxation and leisure amidst magnificent nature.

Furthermore, Member of the Board of Directors of the Jordanian Environment Society (JES), Mohammad Hamad Al-Ba'oul emphasized the importance of boosting environmental protection efforts. He pointed out that the JES conducts workshops and lectures in schools to spread environmental awareness, in addition to organizing cleanliness and tree-trimming campaigns.

The Director of the Environmental Directorate in Ajloun, Dr. Nizar Haddad also stated that the directorate, in cooperation with relevant authorities and environmental associations, conducts cleanup campaigns at several tourist sites. He mentioned that they distribute informational and educational brochures urging against littering and emphasizing the need to reduce the harmful impact of waste on forests.
