Senate Women's Committee head, Australian envoy discuss youth, education cooperation

AMMAN -Head of the Senate's Women's Committee, Haifa Najjar, on Thursday discussed with the Australian Ambassador to Jordan, Bernard Lynch, ways to build on the existing bilateral relations, especially in the education, women empowerment and youth fields.اضافة اعلان

Speaking during the meeting, Najjar said Jordanian woman has made "many achievements and success stories" in various fields and sectors, at the local, Arab and international levels.

The senator pointed to His Majesty King Abdullah II's "remarkable" attention to various women issues, and ways to enhance their role at the political, economic, social, cultural levels, and his keenness to open future prospects for youth to launch pioneering initiatives in various sectors.

Jordan, under the King's leadership, enjoys "distinguished" relations with various world countries, she noted, stressing the need to build on the various existing relations to include various fields and sectors.

The envoy, for his part, stressed the "deep-rooted" Jordanian-Australian relations and the importance of opening new horizons for joint cooperation, especially in the economic, educational and technological field.
