The report added that cargo handling at Aqaba’s ports is proceeding normally, with vessels arriving within their scheduled timeframes without any notable delays.

A vessel carrying mineral oils has docked at the oil and liquefied gas port, with a load of 3,760 tons. Another diesel vessel, carrying 46,480 tons, is awaiting unloading, in addition to a crude oil tanker with a capacity of 134,000 tons.

It also indicated that a gasoline shipment (90/95), with a load of 34,300 tons, is expected to arrive.

For his part, Secretary of the Shipping Agents Association, Mohammad Abdul Hadi, said that Jordanian ports are operating with high efficiency, affirming that the supply chain—particularly the continued flow of goods—remains stable.

Speaking to Al Mamlaka TV, Abdul Hadi added that conflicts in the Middle East have a greater impact on exports, as most of Jordan’s exports consist of low-cost raw materials. Any increase in transportation and insurance costs directly affects these exports.

He noted that ship fuel prices rose by 20% over the past week and expected further noticeable increases in the coming period.

He also pointed out that vehicle shipping costs from China to Jordan have increased by $150 per vehicle due to war-related risks.

Regarding Aqaba Port, Abdul Hadi confirmed that operations remain strong and efficient. Currently, four vessels carrying iron, barley, liquefied petroleum gas, and oil are docked, while three additional ships carrying wheat, crude oil, and diesel are waiting to unload. He also expects seven more vessels to arrive next week.

At the container port, five ships have already arrived, with 21 more expected by the end of the current month, according to Abdul Hadi.
