AMMAN — Member of the Royal Committee
for Political Modernization, Oraib Rantawi, submitted his resignation on
Saturday and it was accepted.
Rantawi submitted his resignation amid
controversy and backlash towards an op-ed he published last week. Rantawi
issued an apology and a clarification shortly after, but decided to resign from
the committee.
The committee was formed earlier this month, and includes 92
members from diverse political, ideological, and sectorial backgrounds, Jordan
