Jordan records 672 new COVID-19 cases today

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Sunday reached 9, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 672 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Saturday, bringing the death toll to 9452 and the caseload to 735811.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Sunday’s tally, the ministry said:

292 in Amman
85 in Zarqa 
67 in Irbid
43 in Karak
24 in Tafileh
24 in Mafraq
14 in Balqa
14 in Aqaba
31 in Maan
20 in Jerash
28 in Ajloun

The ministry added in a statement that some 59 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 83 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 11,657, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 4.38 percent of the 15,346 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
