Jordan records 480 new COVID-19 cases today

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Saturday reached 7, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 480 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Saturday, bringing the death toll to 9,443 and the caseload to 735,139.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Saturday’s tally, the ministry said:

172 in Amman
101 in Zarqa 
83 in Irbid
34 in Karak
27 in Tafileh
18 in Mafraq
15 in Balqa
12 in Aqaba
12 in Maan
3 in Jerash
3 in Ajloun

The ministry added in a statement that some 39 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 94 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 11,794, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 2.96 percent of the 16,196 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
