More than 500,000 tourists visit Petra since beginning of 2023

AMMAN — The number of visitors to the Kingdom’s rose-red city, Petra, reached half a million guests since the beginning of 2023, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. اضافة اعلان

According to Chief Commissioner of Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority, Suleiman Farajat, the number of tourists is said to reach 700,000 in mid 2023.

According to him, the number of Petra visitors last April reached 146,887.

The breakdown of visitors in 2022 was foreigners at 146,687, Arabs at 3,356, and Jordanians at 14,052

In comparison to April 2022, the visitors this year have already increased by 137 percent compared to the same month in April 2022.

And 6 percent against 2019.
