During the visit, Minister Al-Farrayeh was briefed on the main challenges facing passengers, particularly in light of limited operating hours on the other side of the crossing and the resulting restrictions on the number of bridge users.
He also checked on the conditions of Umrah pilgrims from the West Bank and the impact of the increase in their numbers on congestion at the bridge, stressing the importance of providing the best possible services for them, especially given the expected rise in the number of pilgrims during this period.
In this context, the minister toured the bridge’s facilities and listened directly to travelers about the challenges they face. He directed the relevant authorities to implement urgent improvements to the infrastructure and to address congestion in a way that spares travelers any hardship during their time at the bridge.
