SSC Director-General Hazem Rahhaleh said that the corporation prioritizes spreading awareness about the importance of social protection among Jordanians, and promoting the interests of its subscribers through its policies, strategies, and plans.

In the course of 46 such meetings across the Kingdom’s governorates, SSC has taken into consideration civil society organizations’ opinions, suggestions, and observations concerning the amendments to the Social Security Law, he said.

Rahahleh noted that these meetings have had a positive impact on the draft law, and that the amendments will ensure greater justice for subscribers and deal with certain gaps in the insurance system.

SSC “will spare no effort” to enhance social protection for all its subscribers, he stressed, adding that the amended bill strengthens the social protection system in Jordan and provides better security for the most vulnerable groups.
