AMMAN — About 80,000
narcotic pills concealed in plastic pipes were seized in a drug bust at one of
the Kingdom’s border crossings, and two drug traffickers were arrested,
according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
It quoted a spokesperson for the Department of Public Security as saying on Sunday that anti-narcotics agents were tipped off that
large quantities of narcotic pills were to be smuggled into the Kingdom.
Following a probe, officers located the suspects and apprehended them.
In a separate case, police ambushed and arrested an
already convicted drug dealer in the Maan governorate.
