Under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Jordanian Armed Forces on Sunday joined the efforts to extinguish wildfires that broke out in several areas across Syria. The fires were fueled by remnants of war and extreme heat, resulting in the spread of flames across forests, plains, and residential zones.

The Jordanian Armed Forces deployed two Royal Jordanian Air Force Black Hawk helicopters, equipped with specialized crews and advanced technical gear, to help control the fire hotspots and prevent further spread—safeguarding lives and property.
This participation reflects the humanitarian role consistently embraced by the Jordanian Armed Forces, and the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to supporting friendly and brotherly nations during times of crisis and natural disasters, in line with the values of solidarity and compassion promoted by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The Syrian government expressed its gratitude and appreciation to Jordan for the prompt response, commending the Kingdom's significant humanitarian efforts under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
