King Reaffirms Jordan’s Support for Qatar’s Security, Stability, and Sovereignty

His Majesty King Abdullah II, in a phone call on Monday with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the sisterly State of Qatar, reaffirmed Jordan’s solidarity with Qatar in preserving its security, stability, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens. During the call, His Majesty strongly denounced the Iranian attack on Qatar, describing it as a violation of Qatari sovereignty and a breach of international law.

The King renewed his call on the international community to exert pressure to de-escalate the situation, return to negotiations, and halt this dangerous escalation, which threatens to further destabilize the region and increase tensions.
