Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Saeb Khrisat, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Ukraine to the Kingdom, Myroslava Shcherbatiuk, at his office. During the meeting, they discussed prospects for cooperation in agricultural fields, the exchange of expertise, and shared concerns regarding food security and the support of sustainable agricultural development.

The meeting also addressed developing agricultural relations between the two nations and mechanisms to facilitate the exchange of plant and animal products. They discussed cooperation in agricultural production inputs, particularly in light of current regional situations and the economic challenges facing the agricultural sector. Both parties explored ways to activate bilateral agricultural trade, especially concerning the livestock sector and the supply of yellow fodder corn.
Khrisat emphasized the importance of opening Ukrainian markets to Jordanian agricultural products to help balance the trade deficit and enhance coordination between the private sectors of both countries in agricultural trade.
For her part, the Ambassador stressed the importance of continued communication and cooperation, aiming to develop bilateral relations across various sectors. She praised the Ministry of Agriculture's efforts in strengthening agricultural ties, noting Ukraine's interest in increasing trade volume, given the distinguished quality of Jordanian products. The Ambassador affirmed Ukraine’s readiness to meet all Jordanian standards and specifications for yellow corn shipments to ensure the safety and suitability of these products for animal consumption.
