Shboul said the prime minister tested positive on Monday after presiding over the meetings of the Jordanian-Egyptian Joint High Committee alongside his Egyptian counterpart, Mustafa Madbouly.

Shboul said that, in light of this development, the prime minister’s visit program has been modified: official meetings have been canceled, including with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, during which the premier was supposed to pass on to Sisi a message from His Majesty King Abdullah.

Khasawneh will self-isolate at home, upon his return, according to the established health protocol, said Shboul.
