The minister added that this approach contributes to reducing burden on courts and expediting the adjudication of cases, particularly in commercial and investment cases.

During a meeting with president and members of the Jordanian Arbitrators' Association (JAA) on Sunday, Talhouni stated the Ministry of Justice supports all efforts aimed at updating legislation regulating arbitration and providing an "advanced" legal environment that keeps pace with economic changes.

Talhouni indicated added that resorting to arbitration aligns with the Economic Modernization Vision as an "effective" means of dispute settlement.

At the legislative front, he said Jordanian Arbitration Law is a "modern" regulation that keeps pace with global economic and investment developments.

Meanwhile, JAA President noted the association seeks to promote the culture of arbitration in Jordan under training courses and workshops to raise "efficiency" of Jordanian arbitrators to meet international standards.

Concluding the meeting, both sides stressed the need to strengthen the partnership between the Kingdom's public and private sectors in the arbitration field, which would contribute to raising level of alternative justice.
