Director General of the Department of Statistics Haidar Freihat said Thursday that citizens will not face any fines for declining to answer enumerators’ questions or for not being present at their places of residence.

Freihat stressed that the department trusts the information provided by citizens and residents and appreciates Jordanians’ cooperation. He noted that census enumerators are trained, flexible, and respectful of the privacy of citizens and residents.
He added that the questions included in the 2026 Population and Housing Census are clear and straightforward, noting that enumerators can schedule more than one visit to complete the data collection if circumstances require.
