The clarification aims to protect individuals’ rights and prevent any embarrassing situations or financial losses that may arise from discovering a travel ban imposed on them unexpectedly at the time of departure.
The department announced two easy ways to check if a travel ban applies to a person:
Direct call: by dialing the unified number 117111.
SMS inquiry: by sending a text message to 94444.
The department emphasized that using these channels ensures citizens receive official and immediate information, giving them sufficient time to correct their legal status before their scheduled travel.
