The Ministry of Public Works and Housing announced the completion of the expansion and construction of the main road leading to the Prince Faisal bin Al-Hussein Complex, the site of the new Sports City in Karak Governorate, and its full opening to traffic.

The project included comprehensive development works, consisting of widening the existing 730-meter road to a 10-meter width, in addition to constructing a new 330-meter road section of the same width. The ministry implemented integrated engineering works, including cutting and filling, sub-base layers, construction of culverts, asphalt paving, and installation of road markings and painting.
The project aims to facilitate access for the public and athletes to the modern sports facilities, enhance infrastructure supporting the sports and tourism sectors in the governorate, provide safe and direct routes for visitors, and stimulate economic activity by attracting investments in sports and services. It also promotes a healthy lifestyle and strengthens sports culture in the community.
This project is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to improve the road network and connect vital national facilities with a modern and safe transportation network that serves citizens and supports comprehensive development across the Kingdom.
