Given the unexpected circumstances, they stressed the importance of closely monitoring all issues faced by importers and exporters regarding the flow of cargo containers to and from the Port of Aqaba. In addition, finding suitable alternatives to mitigate the repercussions of the successive events in the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait is crucial.

Additionally, the establishment of a national carrier and fostering cooperation among relevant public entities are essential steps to ensure timely and cost-effective goods delivery.

The participants stressed the importance of coordinating national efforts across multiple government organizations and the commercial sector to tackle maritime shipping barriers. This is especially true for the commercial sector and importers; as smooth import operations are critical for the Kingdom.

Importers and exporters who are experiencing problems with container arrivals at the Port of Aqaba are invited to provide container numbers and cargo details for efficient tracking and resolution.

The operations room can be reached at 0799453007 and 0795270774 for direct calls or via WhatsApp, as well as shipping@acc.org.jo via email.
