Jordan records 721 cases on Friday

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Friday reached 9, while a total of 721 new cases were recorded in Jordan, bringing the death toll to 10,273 and the caseload to 788,088.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Friday’s tally, the Ministry of Health stated that Amman recorded 393 cases, while Zarqa recorded 89 cases.

Irbid registered 89 cases, while Balqa recorded 24 cases.

Karak recorded 14, Jerash recorded 15 cases, and Tafileh recorded 19.

Madaba registered 7 cases, Aqaba 4, and Ajloun 20.

Mafraq registered 25 new cases.

Ramtha recorded 10 cases.

The ministry added in a statement that some 73 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 72 were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 12,603, according to the Ministry of Health.

Around 2.83 percent of the 25,504 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
