Jordan records 500 new COVID-19 cases today

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded today reached 8, according to the Ministry of Health, while a total of 467 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Wednesday, bringing the death toll to 9,622 and the caseload to 744,844.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Wednesday’s tally, the ministry said:

252 in Amman
63 in Zarqa
56 in Irbid
21 in Karak
16 in Balqa
15 in Mafraq
11 in Aqaba
10 in Tafileh
8 in Ajloun
6 in Madaba
4 in Jerash
2 in Maan

The ministry added in a statement that some 60 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 76 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 6,956, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 2.0 percent of the 23,349 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
