Jordan records 840 new COVID-19 cases today

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Sunday reached 11, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 840 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Sunday, bringing the death toll to 9,368 and the caseload to 730,546.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Sunday’s tally, the ministry said:

383 in Amman
127 in Irbid
82 in Zarqa
29 in Balqa
47 in Mafraq
35 in Ajloun
24 in Jerash
40 in Karak
14 in Maan
15 in Tafilah
18 in Aqaba
26 in Madaba

The ministry added in a statement that some 101 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 79 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 10,570, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 3.81 percent of the 22,060 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
