Jordan records 521 new COVID-19 cases today

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Saturday reached 15, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 521 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Saturday, bringing the death toll to 9,357 and the caseload to 729,706.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Saturday’s tally, the ministry said:

179 in Amman
80 in Irbid
68 in Zarqa
38 in Balqa
35 in Mafraq
23 in Ajloun
22 in Jerash
21 in Karak
21 in Maan
17 in Tafilah
13 in Aqaba
4 in Madaba

The ministry added in a statement that some 37 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 80 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 10,473, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 3.31 percent of the 15,735 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
