Jordan records 28 new COVID-19 deaths

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 7,064 new COVID-19 cases and 28 new deaths on Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 13,657 and the total number of cases to 1,560,822.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 4,225 cases, while Zarqa recorded 603 cases. Irbid registered 752 cases, Balqa 393 cases, Karak recorded 198 cases, Jerash recorded 124 cases, and Tafileh recorded 82 cases. Madaba registered 176 cases, Aqaba 122, Ramtha 110, and Ajloun 10.

The ministry said in a statement that 146 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 178new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 179,305 according to the ministry. Out of 38,038 COVID-19 tests conducted Saturday, 18.57 percent of them came back positive.
