Jordan records 21 new COVID-19 deaths, 12,379 new cases

AMMAN— Jordan recorded 12,379 new COVID-19 cases and 21 new deaths on Friday, bringing the total death toll to 13,629 and the total number of cases to 1,553,758.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 5,591 cases, while Zarqa recorded 1,207 cases. Irbid registered 1,665 cases, Balqa 816 cases, Karak recorded 477 cases, Jerash recorded 402 cases, and Tafileh recorded 332 cases. Madaba registered 325 cases, Aqaba 242, Ramtha 344, and Ajloun 278.

The ministry said in a statement that 187 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 174 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 189,646 according to the ministry. Out of 57,182 COVID-19 tests conducted Thursday, 21.65 percent of them came back positive.
