Jordan records 2732 new COVID-19 cases today

AMMAN - The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Friday reached 60, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 2,732 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Friday, bringing the death toll to 8117 and the caseload to 681,870.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Friday’s tally, the ministry said:

1,379 cases were recorded in Amman.
369 in Irbid, including 18 of in Ramtha
260 in Zarqa
120 in Balqa
113 in Mafraq
112 in Jerash
98 in Karak
69 in Ajloun
67 in Madaba
61 in Aqaba
50 in Ma'an, including five in Petra
34 in Tafilah

The ministry added in a statement that some 294 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 245 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 47,841, according to the ministry’s statement.

625,912 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.

Around 12.41 percent of the 22,013 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
