Jordan records 2,829 new COVID-19 cases, positivity rate stands at 7.56%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 2,829 new COVID-19 cases and 23 new deaths on Wednesday, bringing the total death toll to 12,932 and the total number of cases to 1,088,329.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,422 cases, while Zarqa recorded 436 cases. Irbid registered 360 cases, Balqa 174 cases, Karak recorded 43 cases, Jerash recorded 69 cases, and Tafileh recorded 9 cases. Madaba registered 66 cases, Aqaba 47 , Ramtha 15, and Ajloun 44.

The ministry said in a statement that 83 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 85 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 28,814 according to the ministry. Out of 37,423 COVID-19 tests conducted Wednesday, 7.56 percent of them came back positive.
