Jordan records 16 new COVID-19 deaths, 2,930 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 2,930 new COVID-19 cases and 16 new deaths on Tuesday, bringing the total death toll to 12,909 and the total number of cases to 1,085,500.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,662 cases, while Zarqa recorded 220 cases. Irbid registered 370 cases, Balqa 238 cases, Karak recorded 92 cases, Jerash recorded 61 cases, and Tafileh recorded 11 cases. Madaba registered 64 cases, Aqaba 23 , Ramtha 27, and Ajloun 48.

The ministry said in a statement that 78 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 84 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 28,205 according to the ministry. Out of 36,409 COVID-19 tests conducted Tuesday, 8.05 percent of them came back positive.
