In this collaborative initiative, experts and representatives from the Consumer Protection Association actively participated in the National Committee responsible for reviewing drug pricing principles. The aim is to ensure collective decision-making that takes into account the interests of various sectors, Hala News reported.

The institution's ongoing action plan includes regular reviews of medication costs, aligning with the nation's objective to make essential medications affordable for all citizens.

Health and consumer rights, including the need for comprehensive health insurance and affordable access to essential healthcare, were emphasized by Dr. Abdel Fattah Al-Kilani, head of the Health Committee at the National Consumer Protection Association.

Meanwhile, Dr. Wassim Al-Najami, president of the Jordanian Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, highlighted the pharmaceutical industry's role in ensuring competitive drug prices, local production of alternative therapies, and job creation.

The workshop, covering drug pricing policies, pharmaceutical economics, and consumer protection, concluded with key participants presenting recommendations.
