The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the findings of the report issued by the Independent International Commission of Inquiry of the United Nations, which concluded that Israeli occupation forces committed acts of genocide, in addition to war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip.

Ministry spokesperson Fouad Al-Majali stated that the report clearly shows that Israeli authorities have committed genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza through deliberate killings, the use of starvation as a weapon, targeting civilian infrastructure, forcibly displacing residents from their homes, and imposing living conditions intended to destroy Palestinians in whole or in part. The report also emphasizes that the Israeli government must immediately comply with its legal obligations and end its violations and crimes in Gaza.
Al-Majali called on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities, compel Israel to immediately halt its aggression in Gaza, ensure the provision of adequate and sustainable humanitarian aid, stop its dangerous escalation in the region, and provide protection for the Palestinian people.
