Jordan Participates in the International Labour Conference in Geneva
Jordan is participating in the 114th Session of the International Labour Conference (ILC) 2026 in Geneva, which runs from June 1 to June 12. The Kingdom is represented by a delegation headed by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Labour, Dr. Abdel Halim Doujan, and includes representatives of the three tripartite partners: "government, employers, and workers."اضافة اعلان

The tripartite partners from the International Labour Organization's (ILO) 187 member states are addressing a wide range of issues of enduring importance to the world of work.

The conference is discussing the report of the ILO Director-General, Gilbert F. Houngbo, titled "Harnessing Artificial Intelligence for Decent Work."

Additionally, the conference covers several key issues, including the transformation of labor markets driven by AI, supporting human-centered transitions in the light of AI and digitalization, and governance and social dialogue in the era of artificial intelligence.

The Jordanian delegation, led by Dr. Abdel Halim Doujan, includes Senator Issa Murad (Chairman of the Labour and Social Development Committee in the Senate), Senator Sharhabeel [Al-Madi], and Senator Naseema Al-Fakhri. It also includes the Chairman of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Eng. Fathi Jaghbir; the President of the General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions (GFJTU), Khaled Al-Fanatseh, alongside his deputy, Khaled Abu Marjoub; the Director of the Labour Relations Directorate at the Ministry, Adnan Al-Dahamsheh; and a number of trade union presidents.
