Chairman of the Jordanian Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Ahmed Al-Huneiti, visited Arlington National Cemetery in the United States on Wednesday, where he laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in honor of service members who lost their lives in wars and while carrying out their duty in service to their country.

The wreath-laying ceremony was conducted in accordance with the cemetery's military protocols.
Maj. Gen. Al-Huneiti rendered a military salute at the tomb, the military farewell bugle call was played, and attendees observed a moment of silence in tribute to the soldiers who gave their lives in combat.
During the visit, Al-Huneiti was briefed on the cemetery's historical and military significance, as well as its symbolic role in commemorating members of the U.S. Armed Forces who died while serving their country.
The visit forms part of a series of meetings and activities being conducted by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during his official visit to Washington, D.C.
The visit aims to strengthen military and defense cooperation between Jordan and the United States and expand coordination and the exchange of expertise between the armed forces of the two friendly nations.
