The commission explained that the time-of-use electricity tariff has been public knowledge since it was first implemented across several sectors, during which it was explicitly stated that the residential sector was not included in the application at that time.
In a press statement on Thursday, the commission emphasized that developing the electricity tariff system is carried out according to specialized technical and regulatory studies, within the powers granted to it under active legislation. This approach aligns with the goals of the Economic Modernization Vision, serves the public interest, and enhances the efficiency and sustainability of the electrical grid.
