AMMAN — The Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday that an illegal organizational activity was held in the city of Aqaba by the banned Muslim Brotherhood group, leading to the detention of several participants.

The Ministry explained that the activity involved a meeting organized under the direction of individuals who previously held senior positions within the banned group. It noted that authorities are currently tracking these individuals to ensure legal action is taken against them.
The Ministry emphasized that the group is legally prohibited and that organizing any activity or event under its umbrella is strictly forbidden under any circumstances. It further confirmed that anyone proven to be involved in violating the law will be prosecuted.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Interior clarified that political activity is permitted through legally established and licensed political parties. Beyond that, there will be no leniency toward any movement aimed at breaching or bypassing the law.
