Minister of Interior Mazen Al-Faraya has approved the completion of procedures by administrative governors to release 418 administrative detainees.

This decision is part of the ministry’s ongoing measures aimed at providing the released individuals with an opportunity to reintegrate into society, enhance their prospects for reform, and enable them to resume their normal lives with their families. The move follows a comprehensive review of their files and the nature of their cases, concluding that their period of detention has been sufficient.
The decision also reinforces the ministry’s humanitarian approach in handling administrative detention, in accordance with the safeguards stipulated by law. This approach balances legal and security controls intended to restrict the criminal activities of high-risk individuals with the necessity of protecting civil liberties.
