Jordan Condemns Ben Gvir and Extremists’ Incursion into Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned Israeli far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir’s incursion into Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif, along with ongoing incursions by extremists under the protection of the Israeli occupation police. The ministry described these actions as a blatant violation of the legal and historical status of the holy site, desecration of its sanctity, serious escalation, and an unacceptable provocation. Jordan stressed that Israel has no sovereignty over occupied Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites.اضافة اعلان

Ministry spokesperson Fouad Majali reaffirmed Jordan’s strong condemnation and rejection of the repeated extremist incursions facilitated by Israeli authorities, calling them a clear breach of international law and humanitarian law and an attempt to impose facts on the ground through temporal and spatial division of the Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif.

Majali warned of the consequences of continued extremist incursions by members of the Israeli government and called on Israel, as the occupying power, to halt these violations and all provocative practices, which are part of a racist policy aimed at escalating unilateral and illegal measures in the occupied West Bank and violating the sanctity of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

He reiterated that the Al-Aqsa Mosque, with its full area of 144 dunams, is an exclusively Islamic place of worship, and that the Jerusalem Endowments and Al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs Department, under the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, holds the sole legal authority to manage the site and regulate entry.
