The Major Crimes Public Prosecutor has ordered the detention of a father accused of murdering his three children for 15 days, pending investigation. The detention is renewable. The crime took place at a farm in the Karak Governorate.

The prosecution has charged the father, who is in his thirties, with three counts of premeditated murder. He is accused of stabbing his two sons, aged 5 and 10, and his 7-year-old daughter, using a kitchen knife inside an unfinished, locked room.
A source close to the investigation revealed that the father allegedly stabbed the children in front of one another, a detail corroborated by bloodstains found within the room.
The source also noted that the autopsy results for the eldest son (10 years old) showed defensive wounds on his hand, indicating that he attempted to resist his father and fend off the stabs.
The funeral for the three children was held in Karak after dawn prayers on Sunday amid widespread grief and public calls for the perpetrator to receive the maximum legal penalty.
