Jordan COVID-19 positivity rate stands at 9.84%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 5,047 new COVID-19 cases and 25 new deaths on Wednesday, bringing the total death toll to 11,633 and the total number of cases to 958,990.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,738 cases, while Zarqa recorded 597 cases. Irbid registered 1,152 cases, Balqa 292 cases, Karak recorded 265 cases, Jerash recorded 189 cases, and Tafileh recorded 39 cases. Madaba registered 179 cases, Aqaba 74, Ramtha 132, and Ajloun 155.

The ministry said in a statement that 134 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 204 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 56,991 according to the ministry. Out of 51,284 COVID-19 tests conducted Wednesday 9.84 percent of them came back positive.
