COVID-19 positivity rate stands at 5.9%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,122 new COVID-19 cases and 12 new deaths Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 11,114 and the total number of cases to 873,707.اضافة اعلان
 
The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 342 cases, while Zarqa recorded 137 cases. Irbid registered 350 cases, Balqa 42 cases, Karak recorded 41 cases, Jerash recorded 23 cases, and Tafileh recorded 23 cases. Madaba registered 20 cases, Aqaba 42, and Ajloun 37.

The ministry said in a statement that 53 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 98 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 23,949 according to the ministry. Out of 19,024 COVID-19 tests conducted Saturday, 5.90 percent of them came back positive.
