The National Center for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM) will begin a series of tests today on Jordan's National Mobile Warning System, with trials set to continue through August 2 across most governorates of the Kingdom.

According to the center, the tests are being conducted in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC), and licensed mobile network operators to assess the system's readiness to warn the public about crises, disasters, and emergency situations.
The center urged residents not to be alarmed upon receiving the test messages, explaining that the alerts will be sent to mobile phones in both Arabic and English and will be accompanied by a distinctive warning tone to attract immediate attention and ensure the messages are noticed.
It added that the content of the test alerts will be based on dust storm warnings as part of the system's trial operation.
